2011 KEC Christmas Pageant Coming THIS WEEK!

Please be in prayer for the 4th Annual KEC Christmas Pageant! This event is to occur THIS WEEK!!! on Thursday -- Sunday at 7:00 each evening. Please pray that those who God wants to attend this event will show up, regardless of snow, confusion regarding Christianity, or any other obstacles they must overcome to get to the church. If you are in the area, please plan on joining us! This event involves over 60 of our adults, youth, and children presenting the Gospel through music, drama, and dance. Plus, this year we are packing several special effects you will NOT want to miss! :D See you there!

American sweets

This is one of our Empower kiddos, Daniel, having a blast last night giggling as he shows his blue "Airhead" tongue! For those of you who have helped getting some of these "American" treats sent to us, THANKS! They are most appreciated by children in our ministries, including Empower and Children's Choir as they have a special treat at the end of their lesson or week's meeting. Oh, and for those interested in knowing...they LOVE Airheads, Blow Pops, Tootsie Roll pops, Tootsie Rolls, Jolly Ranchers (that name totally cracks them up!) and Extreme sours. All, including any cinnamon candies, are things that you cannot purchase over here unless perhaps it is at some specialty store which would charge waaaay too much for us to ever buy such. :D

Light in the Night 2011 at KEC

Thanks so much for your prayers for Light in the Night! It was a wonderful evening with tons of children and their parents in attendance! We saw around 100 participants with many new faces among them, not including the 30 workers from the KEC fellowship! We even have witnessed our first ticket reservations for the upcoming Christmas Pageant at this event! God is SO good! All glory and praise to HIM!!!!

This is an opportunity when others in the community are out seeking, that allows us to present them with the biggest treat of all, JESUS! Join us in praying that many will leave this event knowing that JESUS is the Light of the Word, and in Him there is NO darkness!

Fun fayre face painting

The above are pics of Hope Team members assisting in face painting at the local fun fayre in August when they were serving in ministry with us. We had a wonderful time of fellowship at this event and were therefore able to share the Gospel with many there. Please pray for each seed sown through work through this effort.

Holiday Club 2011

The above are images from KEC's Holiday Club 2011. Wow! What an awesome time we have had this past week. We averaged just over 60 in each day's attendance, and saw 30 children state that they desired to become "Jesus-followers!" We are now attempting to follow up with each of these children who made commitments. Please join us for praying especially for each of these new babes in Christ, and for each seed planted through this event.

Prayers Requested for Upcoming Holiday Club

Mission team members from Hope Church, Tupelo, MS, USA arrived today! Two more to arrive Sunday. We are thrilled and so thankful that once again, they have made the journey to come to this side of the Atlantic to share the Good News with the children of our community surrounding KEC! Please keep this team and the children with whom we will come in contact especially in your prayers. Shown above is the backdrop that Bubba drew and painted as he and Myleea work on more of the details.

KEC Baptism July 2011

Two of the testimonies given at this past week's baptismal service at KEC. The top is one of our Empower kids who shared a moving testimony of his salvation. The bottom pic is a lady who testified how she came to our last Easter pageant and the way God used that ministry to begin to open her eyes to His free gift of salvation. Four were baptised at this service, praise the Lord! Our next baptism is already planned with several lined up to participate in that service! We are so thankful! God is working, and indeed HE is SO GOOD!!!

Globeworks International Team 2011

What a blessing our friends from Globeworks International of Birmingham, Alabama, have been to the KEC fellowship! This team participated in various forms of evangelism last week, and we saw at least 135 people pray to receive the free gift of God's salvation within that one week!

We were also so blessed to have Rick and Mick Vigneulle and their son, Brandon, in town to bless us with their awesome music and comedyl

Another blessing this summer is that Stacy Slaughter from Houston, Texas, is back to assist in the KEC ministries.

KEC Alpha Course Day Away 2011

We recently enjoyed a wonderful day of praise and fellowship at Childswickam in the Cotswolds. This was the day out for those participating in the Alpha Course at KEC.

The 2011 Kingshurst Passion Play

Here are a few pics of our current Passion Play at KEC. This program runs Thursday through Sunday evening. These photos were taken at our last dress rehearsal on Wednesday. Now, we are almost half-way through with performances! Only one day performance at Kings Heath tomorrow (Saturday at 12) and then two more nightly performances (Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 each evening.) Thus far, we are delighted to report that we have had 13 people who say that they have accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour at this event! We praise GOD for His goodness, mercy, grace, and LOVE! All praise, honour, and glory be to HIM forevermore!!!

More baptized at KEC

Such a wonderful day yesterday as Bubba baptized FIVE people at KEC, while a near capacity crowd gathered to watch and listen to God's Word being preached. God is working!!! All glory, praise, and honor to HIM!!!
